Jetour has taken a clear step to strengthen its presence in Nigeria with a formal distribution agreement. The company has appointed W Motors as its official distributor in the Nigerian market, bringing local sales and service operations under a single, accountable partner.

This move reflects Jetour’s strategic intent to deepen its footprint in Africa’s largest automotive market. By partnering with W Motors, Jetour aims to combine its global product development and technology strengths with W Motors’ established knowledge of the Nigerian market.

The partnership is structured to deliver vehicles that match the needs of Nigerian customers while ensuring reliable and professional support before and after purchase. W Motors will manage distribution, showroom operations, and after-sales support across key locations, with an initial operational hub in Lagos on Victoria Island.

Jetour’s rationale is clear: Nigeria’s automotive market is expanding and competitive. Local expertise in sales operations and customer service is essential to winning market share and building brand credibility. The choice of W Motors underscores Jetour’s priority to align with a partner that understands the demands of Nigerian consumers and the realities of the local business environment.

At the core of this collaboration is the launch of the Jetour G700. The G700 is positioned as a flagship model for the brand in Nigeria. It is a luxury hybrid all-terrain SUV designed to meet both urban and off-road use cases. Its specifications are notable in the context of performance SUVs. Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with electric motors, the SUV delivers 904 hp and 1,135 Nm of torque, reaching 0–100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The vehicle offers a driving range of between 800 and 1,000 kilometres and a wading depth of 900 mm.

Inside, the G700 is engineered to provide a premium experience. It features a spacious six-seater layout, wellness-focused seating with massage functions, and advanced connectivity and user interface systems driven by a Snapdragon voice assistant and a multi-screen cockpit. The interior design targets drivers who value comfort as well as capability.

This launch event was attended by high-level representatives, including Jetour International’s Vice President, who reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Nigerian operations long term. His presence underscored the strategic importance of Nigeria within Jetour’s broader expansion plans in Africa.

The agreement also includes a robust warranty offering for the G700, designed to instill buyer confidence. A seven-year, unlimited mileage warranty is part of the ownership package, which is among the most extensive in the segment in Nigeria and across the continent.

For W Motors, the distributorship is an opportunity to elevate its market position in automotive retail and services. With official backing from Jetour, W Motors is expected to leverage its operational base in Lagos and extend service coverage to additional regions over time. The company is set to establish a reliable spare-parts network and trained technical teams to ensure after-sales quality.

The partnership also signals Jetour’s intent to expand its product lineup in Nigeria beyond the G700. Future introductions may include pickup models and other vehicles suited to local demand, reinforcing long-term growth ambitions in the region.

This strategic alignment also comes at a time when the broader Nigerian automotive market is experiencing increasing interest in new vehicle brands, particularly those offering technology and value for money. Jetour’s approach appears calibrated to capture this interest by emphasizing performance, comfort, and comprehensive service support.

In summary, the distribution agreement formalizes Jetour’s commercial operations in Nigeria under W Motors’ stewardship. It underlines Jetour’s commitment to delivering quality vehicles supported by structured distribution and service networks. The launch of the G700 and the warranty support program serve as anchor components of the brand’s value proposition to Nigerian buyers.

This development will likely influence competitive dynamics in the country’s automotive segment, where demand for technologically advanced and performance-oriented vehicles continues to grow. Chief among the outcomes will be how effectively Jetour and W Motors convert strategic intent into measurable sales performance and customer satisfaction over the medium term.
