The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed the arrest of four suspected bandits near Akure Airport in Ondo State, sparking concerns about the safety and security of the country’s aviation industry.

The suspects were apprehended following a coordinated security operation involving aviation and local security agencies, including the Nigerian Air Force, Nigerian Army, and Nigeria Police Force.
According to FAAN, the operation was launched after a distress alert reported suspicious individuals behind the airport perimeter towards the Eleyewo community.
