A Nigerian suspect was shot during an anti-drug operation in Ekurhuleni, South Africa, amid violent resistance from drug syndicates.

ActionSA, a South African political party, confirmed the incident, stating it was part of their broader campaign against drug trafficking and organized crime.

The party’s Ekurhuleni Mayoral Candidate, Councillor Xolani Khumalo, emphasized their commitment to ridding communities of drug-related crime and violence.

The operation is linked to ActionSA’s 10-Point Action Plan to Fix Ekurhuleni, focusing on safety and law enforcement.

Plans include cleaning up the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department, establishing specialized units to dismantle drug syndicates, and deploying detection technology.
