Odiri Erewa-Meggison, Director of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs at British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) for West and Central Africa, has been re-elected as the Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria Export Group (MANEG).

The election took place during MANEG’s annual general meeting held recently in Lagos, reaffirming Erewa-Meggison’s leadership of the export-focused arm of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN).

MANEG serves as a leading advocacy body representing the collective interests of Nigerian manufacturers engaged in exports. It promotes policies and initiatives that enhance the country’s non-oil export sector, improve competitiveness, and support sustainable economic growth.

In her acceptance remarks, Erewa-Meggison thanked members for their confidence and pledged to build on the group’s progress while driving innovative programmes that would elevate Nigeria’s non-oil exports to greater prominence.

“It is with great honour and humility that I stand before you today, deeply grateful for the confidence you have once again placed in me,” she said. “Together, we will continue to elevate MANEG, building on the solid foundation established by those who came before us, while driving new initiatives that strengthen our role as a leading voice in Nigeria’s export ecosystem.”

She reiterated MANEG’s commitment to sustainable development and job creation, noting that non-oil exports remain a vital source of foreign exchange and employment for Nigeria’s growing youth population.

Erewa-Meggison further promised to intensify advocacy for fair and transparent administration of the Export Expansion Grant (EEG) and to push for the clearance of outstanding claims owed to exporters.
