Nigerian Breweries Plc (NB) has officially opened the curtain on its 2025 festive season push, launching the nationwide Christmas campaign under the banner A Legendary Christmas, with Desperados taking the lead to spark December celebrations across Nigeria.

At a high-profile media reveal in Lagos on November 26, NB outlined plans to light up the holiday season with a multi-city street-lighting installation covering six major cities, seven landmark locations and more than 13 kilometres of illuminated road networks, positioning this as one of the largest coordinated festive light displays in the country.

Alongside the light-up, NB will deploy seven of its brands to deliver tailored experiences across December: Maltina, Amstel Malta, Heineken, Life Beer, Goldberg, Legend, and Desperados, each contributing to a diverse calendar of music, nightlife, family-friendly events, and cultural gatherings.

Desperados, targeting younger, nightlife-driven consumers, is front and centre under the sub-campaign titled Clock the Vibe. The activation kicked off with a Homecoming Party and is slated to headline major events throughout December, including the nationwide Detty December Fest in Lagos, a stop on Davido’s 5 Alive Nationwide Tour on December 14 in Abuja, and a major appearance at Flytime Fest 2025 at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos between December 22 and 25.

NB’s Marketing Director described “A Legendary Christmas” not just as a campaign, but as a bold statement of cultural leadership. “Every December, Nigeria transforms into something extraordinary. What began as a local year-end celebration has evolved into a global cultural export,” she said, adding that this year the company aims to lead that transformation by creating shared experiences of joy, creativity and togetherness across the nation.

The campaign promises a mix of festive energy, from family-friendly Christmas villages and light shows under brands like Maltina and Amstel Malta, to nightlife, concerts and cultural hangouts powered by Desperados, Heineken, Life Beer, Goldberg and Legend.

As cities prepare for thousands of visitors, home-comings, and mass social activity, the campaign marks a renewed push by Nigerian Breweries to embed itself at the heart of what many now recognize as December’s social and cultural rhythm in Nigeria from festive lights to music to nightlife and beyond.
