Versat Automobile Limited has formally started operations in the Nigerian automotive sector. The company announced the launch of the C&C Trucks range on 6 February 2026 as its first major commercial vehicle introduction to the market. Versat Automobile Limited positions itself as a supplier of heavy trucks engineered for Nigeria’s operating environment with emphasis on reliability durability performance and after sales support in core business segments.

The launch event marks a new entrant’s attempt to build a commercial vehicle presence in Nigeria centred on the heavy truck segment. Versat’s strategy aims at serving logistics construction mining and infrastructure sectors that depend on dependable commercial vehicles.

The company describes its market entry as a long term commitment to support businesses with performance and value. “Our entry into the Nigerian market marks the beginning of a long term commitment to supporting businesses with dependable high performance Commercial vehicles,” said Alhaji Francis Ogboro Non Executive Director of Versat Automobile Ltd. “Through Versat Automobile Ltd we are focused on delivering trucks that are built for Nigeria supported locally and designed to create sustainable value for our customers.”

Versat has stated that its mission is to provide heavy duty trucks that combine advanced engineering with practical performance tailored to local conditions. The C&C range is engineered to operate under Nigeria’s road and climate realities with strong durability and safety credibility.

The marketing narrative stresses cost effective ownership. The trucks are presented as solutions that lower total cost of ownership through design and service support that prioritises fuel efficiency reliability and ease of maintenance.

At launch the Versat system portfolio includes models such as the C&C Model U400 6×4 offered in Tractor Dump Truck and Chassis variants. This model is engineered with a high output 400 horsepower engine that delivers up to 1800 Newton meters of torque. The high strength steel chassis and reinforced components are designed for stability and durability across demanding work environments.

The configuration aims to match heavy load demands with robust performance. The truck is specified with advanced combustion and turbocharger technology to maintain operational efficiency. Ground clearance robust axles increased cooling capacity and strong load bearing capacity are highlighted as features that make the vehicle suitable for Nigeria’s varied terrain and operational conditions.

The company has also spotlighted after sales and service infrastructure as central to its value proposition. Versat states that customers will benefit from a nationwide service network readily available genuine spare parts and technicians trained to uphold maintenance and service standards. The focus on service support intends to minimise operational downtime and maximise fleet availability over the vehicle’s lifecycle.

Versat’s entry is backed by a strategic partnership with C&C Trucks a global commercial vehicle maker known for engineering capability in heavy duty truck production. A representative of C&C Trucks said the collaboration allows the transfer of proven truck technology adapted to local needs supported by established sales service and parts channels. “Together we aim to provide customers with trucks they can rely on for performance uptime and profitability.”
