For those familiar with Nigeria’s food manufacturing landscape, Ovenfair is already a recognised name. The bakery has built a reputation for producing high-quality bread and confectioneries across Abuja and the North Central region, creating a loyal customer base through consistent quality and reliable distribution. With 2603 Food and Spices, Hafiza is extending that trust into the broader packaged foods segment, targeting households and commercial buyers seeking convenient, hygienically processed alternatives to traditional staples .

A Product Line Built for the Modern Nigerian Kitchen
The newly introduced product line reflects a careful reading of consumer behaviour in urban Nigeria. The brand’s offerings include 263 Massa Mix, Pancake Mix, Akara Mix, Moi Moi Mix, and Puff Puff Mix—all staple foods that traditionally require significant preparation time and skill . By pre-blending the dry ingredients and ensuring consistent seasoning, 2603 aims to reduce cooking time while preserving the authentic taste that consumers expect.

Speaking at the launch, Hafiza emphasised that the brand was built on a strong commitment to quality, nutrition, and consistency, noting that each product undergoes strict quality control processes to guarantee taste, safety, and affordability . Observers at the event described the move as timely, especially as Nigeria continues to encourage local production and reduce dependence on imported food products. The brand is expected to contribute to food security, empower local supply chains, and create employment opportunities within the agricultural and processing sectors .

Hafiza’s move into agro-processing is not an abrupt pivot but rather a natural progression of a career defined by quiet, sustained enterprise. According to local reports, she is the founder and driving force behind Ovenfair Bread, a brand she built from the ground up even while her husband served as governor, choosing a path of privacy and humility away from the political spotlight .

Her passion for baking is rooted in her upbringing. The Atimah family of Eika-Ohizenyi in Okehi LGA is well known for culinary excellence, and as the last born, Hafiza inherited not just the talent but the ambition to scale it commercially . Even after her husband’s tenure ended, she has continued to expand her brand across the North Central and South West regions, investing in state-of-the-art equipment and innovation .
