First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has introduced new digital banking upgrades as part of its 2026 Customer Service Week activities, focusing on transaction security, faster customer support and wider use of digital channels.
The bank said the enhancements include expanded authentication options for its Temi chatbot and the integration of electronic transaction tokens into customer receipts.
According to FCMB, the receipt feature allows customers to access transaction verification details more easily without relying solely on SMS alerts, which can be affected by network delays.
FCMB Managing Director, Yemisi Edun, said customer service remains central to how the bank develops its products and engages with customers.
“At FCMB, customer service is a continuous commitment that shapes how we design our products, deploy technology and engage with our customers,” Edun said.
“We remain focused on listening to customers and improving the solutions we provide to meet their evolving needs.”
The latest upgrades build on earlier improvements to FCMB’s mobile banking app, including reward points, investment options, instant virtual card issuance and access to the Temi digital assistant.
The bank is also offering incentives during Customer Service Week, which runs from October 5 to 9, 2026, under the theme “The Extra Mile.”
Under the campaign, customers using FCMB’s *329# USSD service receive a 10% airtime bonus for three days, while new-to-bank customers who purchase at least ₦200 worth of airtime through the mobile app qualify for a 20% bonus.
Additional benefits are available to customers visiting FCMB Premium Lounges in Lagos and Abuja, as well as holders of the bank’s Kiddies Accounts.
The digital push comes as FCMB strengthens its customer experience offering. KPMG’s 2025 West Africa Banking Industry Customer Experience Survey, which included Nigeria-specific findings, ranked FCMB first in mobile banking, USSD and contact-centre experience.
FCMB recorded customer experience scores of 77.5 for mobile banking, 75.9 for USSD and 76.0 for contact-centre services, according to findings from the survey.
