Stakeholders at the 47th Kaduna International Trade Fair were given a glimpse into the Dangote Group’s long-term growth strategy as the conglomerate unveiled details of its Vision 2030 roadmap.

Speaking during the company’s Special Day at the fair, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, who represented the group, outlined plans to strengthen Nigeria’s industrial capacity and drive economic self-reliance through expanded local production and value addition.

According to a statement issued on Monday, she explained that Vision 2030 is designed to position the group as a global manufacturing leader while contributing to national development through job creation, technology deployment and broader supply chain integration. She noted that investments across cement, fertiliser, petrochemicals, energy, sugar and salt are structured to reduce import dependence and reinforce domestic production capabilities. The strategy, she added, aligns with broader economic reforms aimed at boosting industrial growth and enhancing competitiveness.

Wali Abdurrahman emphasised that partnerships with small and medium-scale enterprises, distributors and local suppliers are central to the roadmap. She noted that inclusive participation across the value chain is critical to achieving sustainable industrial development.

“At the Dangote Group, local content development is not a slogan; it is the foundation of our business philosophy. We believe that Nigeria’s prosperity must be built by Nigerians, using Nigerian resources, and for the benefit of Nigerian communities,” she said.

As part of activities marking its Special Day, the company introduced new 25kg and 100g sachet packs of Dangote Sugar to participants at the trade fair, further showcasing its product diversification efforts.

In his remarks, the President of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Farouk Suleiman, described the Dangote Group as a symbol of industrial excellence rather than just a corporate entity. He commended the longstanding partnership between the chamber and the conglomerate, noting that its consistent presence at the fair demonstrates confidence in trade exhibitions as platforms for business growth and networking.

The company also disclosed that several of its subsidiaries participated in the exhibition, including Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar Refinery, NASCON Allied Industries, Dangote-Sinotruk, Dangote Peugeot Automobile and Dangote Fertiliser.

Each subsidiary operated dedicated helpdesks to respond to inquiries from prospective customers, investors and other stakeholders throughout the event.
