Content creator and convener of Creators Nexus, Moromoluwatiketike Abolaji, has said that creativity can be inherited from family traits, urging young people to pay attention to the gifts and patterns within their homes to discover their creative super powers.

She made this known while speaking on the topic, “Identifying Your Creative Super Power,” at The Platform: Young Professionals Bootcamp (YPB) 2026 held on Thursday, June 25.

Sharing her personal journey into comedy and content creation, Moromoluwa explained that her natural comedic ability did not come by accident but was deeply rooted in her family background.

According to her, both of her parents naturally embodied entertaining and hosting abilities, which later influenced her passion for comedy and public engagement.

“My mum is a natural comedian who does traditional wedding event host, while my dad is a church event host. My siblings are also masters of ceremonies in their various fields of professions. So natural born comedy is from the home, which I decided to harness,” she said.

Moromoluwa stressed that many people often overlook the gifts that already exist within their families while searching for purpose elsewhere. She encouraged participants to study the common traits among family members, noting that such patterns could point to hidden talents and creative strengths.

“So creativity can be gotten from the family. All you need to do is check within. What is the common trait you all share, which you can bank on?” she added.

Beyond family influence, the content creator highlighted other practical ways young professionals can identify their creative abilities. She advised attendees to pay attention to what they naturally enjoy doing in private moments, describing such activities as clues to their creativity.

“Focus on what you love doing when you’re alone. That points to your creativity,” she said.

She also encouraged participants to “audit their compliments” by observing what people constantly praise them for. According to her, compliments from friends, family members and colleagues can reveal areas of strength and uniqueness.

Speaking further on how creatives can harness and maximize their talents, Moromoluwa urged young people not to despise humble beginnings or imperfect starts.

“Nurture your gifts. Don’t despise your humble, little or imperfect beginnings. However, when you start, do not play small,” she advised.

She warned creatives against excessive humility that limits visibility and influence, charging them to confidently embrace their craft and impact. She also cautioned against unhealthy comparison, noting that constantly measuring oneself against others could hinder growth and originality.

She further encouraged intentional self-development, excellence and spirituality as necessary ingredients for sustaining creativity and success.“Give to intentional growth, be excellent in your craft and pray,” she concluded.

The session inspired participants at the bootcamp to reflect on their personal strengths, family traits and passions as pathways to discovering and developing their creative potential.
