The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has announced that the 21st Abuja International Trade Fair (AITF) will focus on strengthening economic resilience, improving taxation systems, and addressing key fiscal challenges facing businesses and governments.
The trade fair, scheduled to take place from September 25 to October 6, 2026, is expected to attract more than 100,000 participants and over 500 exhibitors from Nigeria and other countries. Organisers say the event will serve as a major platform for trade promotion, investment opportunities, business networking, and regional economic cooperation.
Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja, ACCI Director-General Agabaidu Jideani explained that this year’s theme, “Resilience: Trade, Taxation and the Economy,” reflects the need for businesses and policymakers to develop practical solutions to current economic challenges.
According to him, many economies are dealing with rising inflation, unstable exchange rates, changing tax policies, supply chain disruptions, and the rapid pace of technological change.
