Zenith Bank has partnered with Visa to introduce the Visa Signature Card, a premium payment product designed for affluent customers and individuals who frequently conduct international transactions.

The new card was unveiled during a media event held at Zenith Bank’s headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos. Executives from both organisations said the initiative is part of a broader strategy to expand premium banking services and cater to the lifestyle needs of high-net-worth clients.

The Visa Signature Card builds on Zenith Bank’s existing premium card offerings, which already include Gold and Platinum cards. The bank said the new product represents the next step in strengthening its engagement with affluent customers who require enhanced payment convenience and international mobility.

Officials explained that the card was developed after analysing the lifestyle patterns of wealthy customers, many of whom travel frequently and maintain high spending habits across global destinations.

The Visa Signature Card provides a range of benefits tailored to these customers, including access to airport lounges worldwide, travel assistance services, and special offers from partner merchants. The benefits extend across major travel destinations such as the United Kingdom, the United States and South Africa.

Cardholders will also have access to lifestyle benefits within Nigeria, including discounts and special offers at selected restaurants, spas and lifestyle outlets through partnerships with local merchants.

The bank said the product is aimed at customers with strong purchasing power and international spending patterns who require seamless payment solutions and premium financial services.

In addition to its payment functionality, the card offers concierge services and travel-related support designed to improve convenience for customers who regularly travel abroad or require lifestyle assistance.

The partnership between Visa and Zenith Bank is also expected to strengthen the adoption of advanced payment solutions in Nigeria’s premium banking segment.

Industry observers note that banks are increasingly focusing on specialised products to attract affluent clients, offering a mix of financial services and lifestyle benefits to differentiate their offerings in a competitive market.

Zenith Bank said the Visa Signature Card will be denominated in foreign currency to facilitate smooth international transactions, particularly for customers who frequently travel or make purchases abroad.

The bank added that the card will be formally rolled out to the wider market later in March as part of its strategy to strengthen premium banking services and deepen relationships with high-value customers.
