Tetracore Energy Group has made a significant stride in Nigeria’s transition to cleaner energy with the launch of a new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) station in Uwusan, Benin City.

This state-of-the-art facility has a capacity of 120,000 standard cubic meters per day, catering to approximately 200 vehicles daily, including commercial fleets, mass transit operators, and industrial users.

According to Dr. Olakunle Williams, President and CEO of Tetracore Energy Group, the Uwusan station is part of the company’s comprehensive corridor-based gas infrastructure network across Nigeria.

The station will initially operate as a daughter station, with a dedicated CNG mother station currently under development to enhance compression capacity and supply reliability.

The new station offers numerous benefits, including:

  • Lower Fuel Costs: Enjoy more stable and predictable fuel costs compared to conventional options
  • Enhanced Energy Security: Consistent gas availability and reliable supply
  • Improved Operational Efficiency: Accessible refueling infrastructure
  • Alignment with Clean Energy Goals: Supports Nigeria’s regulatory direction on clean energy transition

Tetracore Energy’s vision is to scale gas-powered mobility nationwide, with ambitious plans to expand its footprint in West Africa.

This initiative is expected to contribute significantly to Nigeria’s clean energy goals and reduce reliance on traditional fossil fuels.
