InDrive has retained its position as the world’s second-most-downloaded ride-hailing app for the fourth consecutive year, according to new data from market intelligence firm Sensor Tower.

The report also showed the company climbed to fourth place globally in overall travel app downloads in 2025, up from fifth in 2023 — highlighting rising user engagement as the platform expands beyond ride-hailing.

Since launch, the app has recorded more than 400 million downloads and is now operational in 1,065 cities across 48 countries. The company says it has facilitated over 8 billion transactions to date.

inDrive ranked first in travel app downloads in nine countries, including Peru and Pakistan, and placed among the top three in 22 countries, reinforcing its growing global footprint.

In 2025, the company deepened its transition toward a super app model by rolling out additional services such as intercity transport, courier and grocery delivery, and financial services. The diversification strategy aims to increase daily user engagement and broaden revenue streams.

The platform, known for its peer-to-peer pricing model that allows drivers and riders to negotiate fares, continues to emphasise user control over pricing while leveraging technology to enhance efficiency. Artificial intelligence and advanced analytics power features such as improved mapping accuracy, reliable estimated arrival times (ETAs), and predictive tools designed to anticipate user needs.

Sensor Tower noted that the rise of super app ecosystems is becoming a major driver of growth in the ride-hailing sector, particularly in emerging markets where consumers increasingly rely on integrated digital platforms for multiple services.

Commenting on the ranking, inDrive founder and CEO Arsen Tomsky said:

“Maintaining our position as the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app for a fourth consecutive year is a powerful validation of the value inDrive delivers to its users every day.

“This recognition reflects the trust people place in our platform and the continued dedication of our global team. As inDrive evolves into a super app, we remain focused on our core principles of fairness, transparency, and user choice, while expanding access to services that make a meaningful difference in people’s daily lives.”

The latest ranking strengthens inDrive’s standing in the global mobility and urban services market, with continued growth across Africa, strong adoption in Nigeria, and expanding traction in international markets.
