NASCON Allied Industries Plc, popularly known as Dangote Salt, has rewarded 50 of its top distributors and customers with trucks and cash gifts valued at billions of naira in recognition of their loyalty and performance.
The rewards were presented at the company’s 2025 Customers Dinner and Awards Night held in Abuja on Thursday, according to a statement issued on Sunday. The event attracted senior executives of the Dangote Group, including its President, Aliko Dangote, and Vice President, Olakunle Alake.
NASCON, a subsidiary of Dangote Industries Limited, manufactures refined salt and Dangote Classic Seasonings.
Addressing guests at the ceremony, Dangote said the awards reflect the company’s strong emphasis on customer service as a core corporate value.
“Recognizing customers is not just good relationship management, it is good business. It sends a clear message to our people that customer service is truly one of our core values,” he said.
“Looking ahead, we will continue to invest in brand equity, supply chain efficiency, sustainability, and digital capabilities. But these investments only create value when they are aligned with customer realities. Your continued engagement and feedback remain critical.”
Dangote also commended the company’s board, management, and staff for their professionalism and dedication, noting that operational efficiency and a strong work ethic have sustained NASCON’s market leadership.
Olakunle Alake, board chairman of NASCON and Vice President of Dangote Group, described customer service as a strategic asset for the publicly listed company.
“As a quoted company, we are accountable to shareholders, regulators, and the investing public. But the confidence of the market is ultimately rooted in market performance, and market performance depends on customers who believe in our brands,” he said.
“From the Board’s perspective, customer service is not just a core value; it is a strategic asset.”
Newly appointed Group Executive Director of Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals, Fatima Aliko Dangote, thanked customers for their loyalty, saying their growth is closely tied to the company’s success.
“Each of you has demonstrated outstanding commitment to our brands… Your success is inseparable from our own,” she said.
Mariya Aliko Dangote, Group Executive Director, Commercial (Cement and Foods), added that sustained customer support remains central to the group’s food business operations.
NASCON’s Managing Director, Aderemi Saka, said the awards night was organised to celebrate customers whose growth aligns with the company’s performance.
Speaking on behalf of award recipients, Ali Balarabe, who received a 20-ton truck and cash credit, praised the company for the recognition and pledged continued loyalty.
Other beneficiaries included Alhaji Ibrahim Achida, Muabsa Integrated Services, Fanisau Enterprises, Idris Saleh Nigeria Limited, Sani Adamu Trader, and GIA Global Concept.
