Dangote Cement Plc celebrated its top distributors and customers this week with gifts and cash prizes totaling ₦15 billion. The event, themed “Partner for Growth,” aimed to reward commitment while reinforcing the company’s nationwide distribution network.

Held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, the 2026 Distributors’ Awards Night brought together distributors who have consistently ensured the availability of Dangote products in urban and rural markets. These partners play a critical role in translating the company’s strategies into results.

Addressing attendees, Dangote Cement President and CEO Aliko Dangote said,
“Your tireless work in the field, your alluring commitment to our products and your direct engagement with our customers are what turn our vision and strategies into tangible results. Today’s celebration, themed ‘Partner for Growth,’ is a testament that our growth journey for 2026 has already begun.”

The ₦15 billion in rewards included cash, luxury SUVs, trucks, and large product consignments, supporting distributors’ operations and reducing logistics costs. Special attention was given to CNG-powered trucks, highlighting a move toward cost-efficient and environmentally friendly delivery solutions.

Dangote emphasised that incentives like these deepen relationships with distributors and strengthen supply lines, especially amid rising cement demand driven by Nigeria’s booming construction sector. By investing in its distribution network, Dangote aims to sustain growth while ensuring timely availability of products across the country.

Beyond rewards, the event reinforced Dangote’s long-term vision to expand production and logistics capabilities, aiming for a production capacity of 90 million tonnes by 2030. This aligns with broader corporate ambitions to build Africa’s industrial capacity and support economic self-sufficiency.

Recognising distributors as essential pillars of its value chain, Dangote Cement committed to equipping them with tools and resources for resilience and profitability. This integrated approach not only boosts the company’s competitiveness but also enhances the efficiency of the entire sector.

By injecting ₦15 billion into its distribution network, Dangote Cement strengthens market confidence, boosts local commerce, and supports employment in logistics and construction. Incentivising distributors ensures consistent supply of cement, stimulating Nigeria’s infrastructure growth and contributing positively to GDP as demand for building materials continues to rise.
