Nollywood romantic comedy Call of My Life has crossed ₦893 million at the Nigerian box office, extending one of the strongest theatrical runs by a local film in 2026.
Distributor FilmOne Entertainment confirmed the latest milestone on Monday, 7 September 2026, as the Dammy Twitch-directed film continues to draw audiences months after its 15 May release. The latest figure makes it the highest-grossing Nollywood film of 2026 so far, according to reports tracking the Nigerian box office.
The performance builds on a series of milestones recorded since the film opened in cinemas. On 17 June 2026, Call of My Life crossed ₦600 million, becoming the first Nollywood film to pass that mark outside the traditional December holiday period, according to Nairametrics.
By 11 August 2026, FilmOne had announced that the film had reached ₦855 million. Nairametrics reported that the figure followed an earlier ₦628 million milestone recorded in June.
The film was written by Uzoamaka Power, who also stars alongside Andrew Yaw Bunting, Zubby Michael, Beverly Osu, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor and Broda Shaggi. Producer Blessing Uzzi led the project for Bluhouse Studios, while FilmOne handled distribution.
The film’s performance is significant because it has maintained strong box-office momentum outside the December period, when Nigerian cinemas traditionally record some of their biggest releases.
Its success also comes as Nigeria’s cinema industry shows signs of stronger audience demand. Nairametrics reported in April, citing Nigerian box-office data, that cinema admissions reached 752,136 in the first quarter of 2026, up from 661,720 in the same period of 2025.
For Bluhouse Studios and FilmOne, Call of My Life therefore represents more than another successful Nollywood release. Its sustained run provides another indication that locally produced films can attract large cinema audiences beyond the crowded year-end release window.
With the final months of 2026 still ahead, the film’s ₦893 million haul could rise further as it continues its theatrical run.
