First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has provided financial support to the Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP), a Nigerian non-governmental organisation focused on public health and community development.
The grant was presented by FCMB Managing Director, Yemisi Edun, to CIHP Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Bolanle Oyeledun, during a ceremony in Abuja, according to reports from the event.
Speaking at the presentation, Edun said the support reflects the bank’s commitment to initiatives that contribute to social development and community welfare.
CIHP is a Nigerian non-profit organisation that implements health and development programmes across the country, working with government agencies, development partners and communities on public health interventions.
Oyeledun welcomed the support and said the funding would assist the organisation in sustaining its activities and expanding its impact among the communities it serves.
The intervention highlights the role of private-sector organisations in supporting non-profit initiatives at a time when many development-focused groups are seeking additional sources of funding to sustain critical programmes.
Corporate social responsibility initiatives have become an important component of the Nigerian banking sector’s engagement with communities, with financial institutions increasingly supporting projects in healthcare, education, entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.
While FCMB did not disclose the financial details of the grant, the support underscores growing collaboration between private-sector organisations and non-profit institutions working to address social and developmental challenges across Nigeria.
