Renowned Nigerian business leader and investor Adekunle Ojora has passed away at the age of 93, leaving behind a legacy of corporate impact and decades of service to the country’s private sector.

Ojora, a member of the Lagos Royal Family, died early Wednesday morning and will be buried in Lagos according to Islamic rites.

A trailblazer in Nigeria’s corporate world, Ojora began his career in journalism, working at the BBC and later joining the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation.

He transitioned to the private sector, becoming a key figure in companies like WEMABOD, Nigerian National Shipping Line, and AGIP Nigeria Limited, where he served as chairman for over three decades.

Ojora’s investments spanned multiple sectors, including property, shipping, and energy, earning him a reputation as a respected boardroom leader.

His contributions to Nigeria’s economic development and corporate growth have been immense, and his passing is mourned by the business community.

Survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Ojora’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations of Nigerian entrepreneurs and business leaders.
