Faith-based film Prophet Suddenly 4: The Children’s Ministry has surpassed 2.7 million views on YouTube, less than six weeks after its August 2, 2026 release.

The fourth instalment of Prophet Suddenly was written and directed by Ohis Muyiwa Ojeikere and executive produced by Elder Steve Iruedo. The film was produced by The Winlos, the Nigerian Christian filmmaking duo of Ohis Muyiwa Ojeikere and Anwinli Ojeikere.

The film focuses on children’s discipleship and challenges churches and families to take a more deliberate approach to the spiritual development of children.

According to the filmmakers, the story follows Victor, a church leader whose neglect of children’s ministry creates an opening for spiritual deception. They said the film was inspired by concerns about the spiritual future of the next generation and the need for churches and parents to invest more intentionally in children.

“We want to redirect the attention of the Church back to children, not merely as attendees of church services, but as an essential part of God’s Kingdom agenda deserving intentional discipleship, care and spiritual investment,” the production team said.

The filmmakers added that the movie was not intended to criticise the Church but to encourage reflection and renewed commitment to children’s ministry.

Prophet Suddenly 4 was filmed in Nigeria, Tanzania and the United States, marking the first time the franchise has used locations across the three countries. The producers said the international production was intended to show that the responsibility of raising and discipling children cuts across cultures and borders.

The film also uses English, Swahili and Nigerian Pidgin, while its cast includes Lawrence Oyor, Apostle Arome Osayi, Shola Okodugha, Laurel Olu Egbor, Addo November Mwasongwe and The Winlos. Nigerian media reports have also confirmed the film’s August 2 release and its focus on children’s ministry.

The production team said balancing entertainment with its faith-based message was a major consideration, with suspense, humour, drama and emotional scenes used to communicate the film’s themes.

The film premiered in cinemas on August 2, 2026, before becoming available digitally. The Winlos’ official media platform currently features Prophet Suddenly 4 as its latest movie.

The reported 2.7 million YouTube views highlight the growing reach of Nigerian faith-based productions on digital platforms, particularly among audiences beyond traditional cinema and church settings.
