Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has received the Operational Excellence Award at the Energy Awards 2026, one of the biggest highlights of the 25th edition of NOG Energy Week. The award recognizes companies that consistently achieve high standards in safety, efficiency, reliability, and sustainable business operations.

The award ceremony took place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja during the annual NOG Energy Week. The event attracted top government officials, industry experts, investors, regulators, and energy companies from across Africa to discuss the future of Nigeria’s energy sector.

NLNG earned the recognition because of its strong commitment to improving its operations while maintaining safe and reliable services. The company has continued to focus on reducing operational costs, increasing efficiency, managing its assets effectively, and adopting sustainable business practices. These efforts have helped the company remain one of Nigeria’s leading energy firms.

During the conference, NLNG actively participated in important discussions on the future of the energy industry. Company representatives engaged with stakeholders on issues such as natural gas development, operational excellence, sustainability, innovation, and Nigeria’s contribution to global energy security. The company also used the event to strengthen partnerships and support ideas that will help build a more competitive and sustainable energy sector.

The award also recognizes the dedication and hard work of NLNG’s employees. Their commitment to maintaining high operational standards has enabled the company to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) reliably to international markets while also supporting the growth of domestic gas use in Nigeria. Through its operations, NLNG has continued to contribute to the country’s economy by creating jobs, promoting local content, generating government revenue, and investing in national development.

As part of its long-term growth plans, NLNG is making progress on its Train 7 Project, which is expected to increase production capacity and strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global LNG market. The latest award further encourages the company to continue pursuing innovation, operational excellence, and responsible business practices.

The recognition also reflects NLNG’s broader mission of helping Nigeria maximize its abundant natural gas resources. By improving efficiency and supporting sustainable energy development, the company aims to contribute to economic growth, industrial expansion, and a more secure energy future for the country.

This year’s NOG Energy Week placed strong emphasis on collaboration, investment, and innovation as key drivers of Africa’s energy future. NLNG’s achievement stands out as another important milestone, reinforcing its reputation as a leading player in the energy industry and demonstrating its ongoing commitment to delivering value to customers, stakeholders, and the Nigerian economy.
