PalmPay, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing digital banking and payments platforms, has launched a ₦400 million festive rewards campaign that pairs everyday transactions with the chance to win significant cash payouts and fully sponsored international travel experiences. The campaign, which kicked off on December 17, 2025, and runs through January 8, 2026, is anchored around a gamified “World Travel Carnival” designed to boost user activity on the PalmPay app over the holiday period.

The initiative forms part of PalmPay’s wider Purple December seasonal drive, a series of activations aimed at expressing appreciation to its growing user community with fun, engaging reward opportunities.

At the heart of the promotion is an interactive card-collecting mechanic that turns routine app use into potential wins. Users earn city cards, representing destinations such as London, New York, Dubai, Sydney, and Cape Town by completing eligible transactions on the PalmPay app, such as airtime purchases, data purchases, transfers, and other qualifying activities. Once a participant collects one of each city card and combines them into a World Card, they unlock access to a share of the campaign’s cash prize pool. Users can also swap duplicate cards with other PalmPay users to complete more sets and increase their reward potential.

Beyond the cash incentives, the Carnival promises all-expense-paid global travel packages to top performing users. In each of the three prize rounds scheduled for December 25, December 31, and January 8, the two users with the highest number of qualifying transactions (each worth at least ₦100) who also hold at least one World Card will win an international travel package. The grand travel prizes include visa fees, round-trip flights, 5-day/4-night hotel stays, meals, airport transfers, local tours, and ground transportation.

PalmPay has emphasised the transparency and fairness of the rewards mechanics, implementing strict rules to prevent cheating, automated bot participation, fake accounts, or other attempts to manipulate results. Each user is eligible to receive only one free travel prize during the campaign to ensure broad participation and equitable chances of winning.

Speaking on the launch, PalmPay’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Femi Hanson, said:

“This festive rewards campaign is about turning everyday banking into meaningful value for our users. With the World Travel Carnival as the headline activation, we are reinforcing PalmPay’s promise of being the smarter way to bank, where smart financial decisions unlock bigger opportunities.”

PalmPay’s festive giveaway builds on a series of user-focused engagements the company has run throughout 2025, including digital community campaigns and reward challenges that aim to deepen financial engagement and loyalty among its millions of customers across Nigeria.

By tying rewards to daily digital transactions, PalmPay’s campaign is likely to stimulate increased fintech usage and cashless activity, contributing to higher mobile payments volumes and supporting Nigeria’s broader shift toward a more inclusive, data-driven digital economy.
